Saving/Investing
This section on Saving and Investing comprises six detailed lesson plans and associated active learning resources, including an on-line quiz with each lesson. Each lesson is designed to meet some of the requirements of the Irish curriculum at upper primary level (age 10 - 12 years), Junior Certificate or Leaving Certificate level.
The topics explored include the reasons for saving and how to save for the future. Savings accounts, investment accounts and socially responsible investments are investigated. The lessons are supported by the fact sheets - Investments and Understanding Risk.
