Introduction

WELCOME to DOLCETA !

The aim of this website is to offer educators a variety of tools to help them learn more about Consumer Education and how to implement it with different age groups and in different settings.

The website contains a vast selection of Lesson Plans and Resources which address different aspects of the Consumer Education components of the National Minimum Curriculum (NMC).

The general goal is to facilitate understanding and assimilation of the various consumer concepts among Maltese children, teenagers and adults and to do this using a learner-centred constructivist approach.

The ultimate goal is to nurture consumer citizens who are empowered to adopt consumer choices and behaviours which promote a better quality of life for all humans, as well as stewardship of the natural environment.
