Gas

Natural Gas is a vital component of the world’s supply of energy. It is one of the cleanest, safest, and most useful of all energy sources. In Malta natural gas is not used. Currently Malta is transposing the Natural Gas Directive 2009/73/EC concerning the common rules for the internal market in natural gas and repealing Directive 2003/55/EC. Heating

In Malta non-renewable petroleum products, namely residual fuel oil, gasoil and Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) are used as a medium to create heat. The use of renewable energy through solar water heaters is rapidly picking up and is generally used in households for water heating in bathrooms and kitchens.
