Financial Literacy

What to teach in financial education (including link to Lesson Plams & Resources)

The choice of topics for Financial Education should be based on the needs of students according to age group, the prevalent social and economic context, particularly in relation to new financial products and services, and the current school syllabuses and time constraints which teachers have to work within.

Fact sheets

This section contains 12 Fact Sheets which can provide useful background information for teachers as they prepare their finance-related lessons. The Fact Sheets offer concise information on topics which are not covered by the Dolceta Module 2 Financial Services, or are covered only briefly by Module 2. Lesson plans

The Lesson Plans in this Module have been prepared by a group of financial and pedagogical experts, combining their knowledge in order to facilitate the teaching and learning of financial literacy. Learning Activities and Resources

Active learning and challenging resources will facilitate or enhance learning. Examples include case studies, stories, role plays, simulations, discussions, brainstorming, poster-making, as well as use of powerpoint presentations, worksheets, informational material and interactive quizzes.
